Products: Heavy Barrel

The Heavy Barrel Reinforcing or "HB" Neck is available through 24" sizes meeting the ASME B16.5 standard (all pressure classes). FVC can also meet the specifications of ASME B16.47, Series A & Series B.  FVC maintains a large inventory of SA105 and some inventory of SA350-LF2, SA182-F22, and SA182-F11. Modified versions of the HB can also be furnished as a "custom" product. The HB provides more integral reinforcement than the corresponding size "LWN" which is accomplished with a thicker barrel neck section. There are additional features on this style neck:

1.) FVC style HB necks have an automatic "nut stop" provided by the standard barrel OD. This eliminates the need for a second holding wrench.   Optional "nut relief" in the barrel will allow two wrench operation.

2.) FVC HB necks, sizes 12 inch and below are furnished with Schedule 80 bores. Manway sizes 14" and above have bores equal to the nominal size.

3.) The HB style can be furnished as flat bottom, spherically or cylindrically curved for immediate installation as depicted in the shaded view.
